About My Work

As an artist from Quito, Ecuador, my work is typically conceptual, political and spans a variety of mediums. With a specialization in sculpture and installation, I aim to provoke thought and conversation about current political, social and environmental conflicts in Ecuador and globally.

I am interested in material exploration and multimedia works. Through my artistic exploration on degradation and decomposition, I look for innovative ways to create, comment, and understand how this natural process relates to the state of my country, Ecuador and its role today in the wider drug trafficking scheme and its relation to nature. Moreover, the house is a constant motif in my work, as I relate it both with a living body and with Ecuador.

I am currently a Junior student at the Cooper Union. I moved to NYC in 2022 for my studies.
